OTR Global's dedicated Retail group researches industries such as athletic footwear/ active apparel, luxury retail, specialty retailers, and hardlines to snoop out the next big trends and the collapse of the latest trends by building relationships with retail managers and buyers at key retailers. The Retail group also looks at trends in the quick-service, fast-casual and casual dining concepts by looking at same-store sales, transactions and ticket trends as well as consumer response to promotions and new product launches.
Retail sources include wholesalers, buyers for wholesalers, department stores chains and boutiques, suppliers, brokers, franchise owners, distributors, manufacturers, mall executives, store managers, industry experts, individual restaurant managers and in some instances even regular shoppers located in Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Shannon Fox — Global Consumer Retail Director
Shannon Fox oversees OTR Global's global consumer products, retail and restaurant coverage. Previously, Ms. Fox served as COO of Research for OTR and directed the expansion of the firm's global healthcare team. Shannon holds a master's degree in business marketing from Queensland University of Technology in Australia and a bachelor's in communications from Washington State University. She has been with OTR Global since 1997.
