OTR Global (OTR) is committed to protecting the information gathered from its panels. We strive to keep all of our panel members anonymous in all situations while providing accurate marketplace information to our clients. All information reported by individual panel members will be kept strictly confidential. OTR Global provides marketplace checks to its clients. Clients of OTR Global utilize this information to gauge the actual progression of the current marketplace.
This privacy policy statement is for OTR. Any sites linked to this site will abide by their own privacy policies. If more information is needed pertaining to the information collected by this site or for any clarification of this statement, please contact us. OTR Global gathers industry- and interest-specific information along with some contact information pertaining to each panel member. Contact information can be but is not limited to the following: name, address, telephone number and email address. Demographic information also will be collected pertaining to current work position, company, industry and business interests. Contact and demographic information will be utilized in order to contact panel members about reports being administered by OTR that fit their demographic profile and for dissemination of results if panel members choose to receive them. Members also may opt to take part in either online panel research, off-line panel research or both. Additional information may be requested for some online interviews. Collection and Use of Information OTR collects interview responses, contact information and demographic information. Responses are reported to clients of OTR in aggregate form as a report, so that each panel member remains anonymous. Clients of OTR utilize this information to gauge the actual progression of the current marketplace. The demographic information collected during each interview will be utilized by OTR to check for proper representation of the entire population being interviewed. Demographic information is also tracked by OTR in order to provide reports to panel members that better fit their current job position or interests. This demographic information will be collected during the completion of a report. Cookies are not used on this site. Information used for saving an online interview or going back to change an answer in an interview are stored in the URL. That URL can be taken from one computer and applied to another allowing the user to start, stop and resume a questionnaire. OTR does use IP addresses and browser types to analyze current user preferences and traffic. This information is not linked to any contact or demographic information provided by panel members. The information is used to help make improvements to the website that will benefit the users of the site. OTR will only contact its panel members if the panel member opts to have a report pertaining to the survey he/she completed sent to them, if changes are made to this privacy policy statement, or if the panel member specifies that he/she would like to be contacted via phone to participate in off-line panel research for OTR. The panel members may choose to enter into drawings, to receive a copy of the final report for the study, or to become an off-line panel member. The reports will be sent via either email or the United States Postal Service. All prizes and reports will be handled by OTR. What Organization is Collecting the Information The information panel members supply OTR with is collected by the company (OTR). The site is maintained internally within the company. The privacy statement contained within this site, www.offtherecordresearch.com, is only valid for this site and the interviews administered within it. When accessing any sites beyond this site, this privacy statement is null and void. We are not held responsible for the privacy statement of any sites linked to this site. More information pertaining to the company, OTR, can be found at www.otrglobal.com. OTR does report its findings to third parties. Those parties are clients of OTR. Also, the reports are sometimes distributed to those involved interviewed for the report. All information reported to third parties will be in aggregate form and will not seek to personally identify any panel member that completed the survey. When a panel member first opts-in at the end of an online interview, an email confirmation will be sent to their specified email address. The prospective member must reply to this email in order to activate the membership. Failure to do so will terminate the prospective member from the OTR site. This is done to assure that the member has been correctly registered. Panel members are also given the option to not receive any further contact from OTR at the end of each interview or when an email is sent to the member notifying them of a new survey. The members can also utilize the contact information specified on the web site to opt-out of their membership. Members are not required to fill out any questionnaires at any time. The questionnaires are to be filled out by willing members only. If circumstances do not allow for the response to a questionnaire, and the member does not reply that they wish to be removed from the site, the member will continue to receive notification of upcoming reports. Correct/Update of Contact Information Contact or demographic information can be updated by contacting OTR via email or postal service. Please notify OTR of any changes so that questionnaires can then be better catered to the members' preferences. Employees of OTR utilize password-protected filing structures to ensure that data is only utilized by those involved with OTR data collection. Employees of OTR are made aware of data privacy policies when joining the company. Any updates to these policies are made available via email for all employees. The changes are also noted in employee handbooks. If any changes are made or modifications applied to this privacy statement, panel members will be notified using three methods. First, a statement will be applied to the OTR site notifying members to read the new change. Second, members will be notified utilizing email. An email will be sent to each member notifying him or her of the change. Third, members will be notified when taking a survey. If a member deems the changes or modifications made to the privacy statement unacceptable they must contact OTR. This will be noted on the member's profile and the previous privacy statement will govern that particular member. This website contains links to other websites. Please note that when a member clicks on one of these links, he or she is moving to another website.
